My Freedom, My Right

          Freedom of speech is the freedom to speak freely without censorship. It is not only important in individual dignity but also in some participation.

          To speak is our right and responsibility.

The right to freedom of expressions upholds the privilage of all to express their views and their opinions. A journalist is one example who has the freedom to speak. Every journalist has the right to express his or her feelings.

          Responsibility, we are responsible to let you all know the different issues and news happening not only in our country but also on other. What if there is no freedom to speak freely? Do other people know what are some views and opinions that we wanted to express?

          For now some people are afraid of expressing their expressions because they are afraid to die because, like what happened last November 25, 2009 in Maguindanao, many journalists were killed. They did not give them the right to express their views and opinions.

          Not only journalists but also other people have the right to express their opinions. It is also the right of people to know what we express, for them to be aware of what is happening in our places. But, sometimes we must be careful for what we are speaking because we don’t know that there were other people affected of what we said.

          I am proud to be a journalist because I know that I have the right to speak and express my expressions, and I am not afraid to do it. A journalist can also be a hero someday.
